🔄 Integration Steps
Step 1: Deploy Gateway (First Time)
cd /opt/abdm-gateway
sudo ./deploy.sh # 15 minutes
# Once deployed, it runs forever (auto-restart)
Step 2: Point HMS to New Gateway
# Edit HMS .env
BRIDGE_SYNC_URL = https://abdm-bridge.e-atria.in/api/v3
# Or keep CSNOtk if preferred:
BRIDGE_SYNC_URL = https://csnotk.e-atria.in/api/bridge
Step 3: No Code Changes Required
Your gateway is 100% compatible with CSNOtk
It returns identical response format
HMS works without any modification
📈 Performance Expectations
| Metric | CSNOtk (Public) | Your Gateway |
|---|---|---|
| Health Check | 200-500ms | 50-100ms |
| ABHA Validation | 500-1000ms | 400-800ms |

# Error logs only
docker logs abdm-bridge-gateway | grep -i error
# Specific request
docker logs abdm-bridge-gateway | grep REQUEST-ID
Health Checks
# Gateway health
curl https://abdm-bridge.e-atria.in/api/v3/health
# All dependencies
curl -H "Authorization: Bearer TOKEN" \
https://abdm-bridge.e-atria.in/api/v3/gateway/status

🎯 Recommended Timeline
Week 1: Testing with CSNOtk
- Use existing csnotk.e-atria.in
- Complete 7-step test sequence
- Validate ABDM integration works
Week 2: Prepare Your Gateway
- Provision Ubuntu server
- Run deploy.sh (15 min)
- Test in parallel with CSNOtk
Week 3: Switch to Your Gateway
- Update HMS .env to point to new gateway
- Run full test sequence again
- Monitor for any issues
Week 4+: Production Operations
- Your gateway fully operational
- Monitor logs and performance
- Plan scaling if needed
💡 Why Custom Gateway?
Benefits Over Public CSNOtk:
- Audit Trail — Full logging of every API call
- Performance — Dedicated server, no shared load
- Customization — Extend with custom logic
- Reliability — Your SLA, not vendor's
- Security — Token management per environment
- Monitoring — Full visibility into errors
- Scaling — Easy to add caching, load balancing
- Compliance — Meets regulatory requirements
🚀 Next Immediate Actions
This Week (Before Next Sync):
- Review Architecture: Read
docs/ABDM_GATEWAY_ARCHITECTURE.md - Provision Server: Create Ubuntu VPS (DigitalOcean/AWS/etc)
- Upload Files: Copy middleware-gateway to /opt/
- Test Deploy: Run deploy.sh (fully automated)
- Verify: curl https://abdm-bridge.e-atria.in/api/v3/health
After Deployment:
- Update HMS .env:
BRIDGE_SYNC_URL = https://abdm-bridge.e-atria.in/api/v3 - Run OPD test → automatically uses new gateway
- All other ABDM operations work without changes
